I just rented a small office from an attorney who has a Replay Plus phone system but she has NO clue how to use it and the guy who sold it to her is out of business. Desperately need to figure out how to fix a problem where the system shuts down on the weekend. For more than a year someone has had to come in every weekend and turn the system off and on again to reset it, otherwise they miss calls on Monday morning.
Can anyone help? We're lost! It's likely an easy fix.

Jason, Welcom to the board. Please complete your profile to indicate your level of technical experience and your location in case anyone is near enough to help you first hand.
I'm not familiar with the replay but here's what it might be. Voicemail systems are usually set to exit to dos on the weekend and defrag the systems drive then re-boot to the voice mail program. This is accomplished through a batch file in the software. I'd guess that file is missing a line of code and either not doing the defrag or not re-booting or both. You will probably need the proper software to communicate with the systems files, it might just be hyperterm, I don't know. Mark

Thanks for the speedy reply. I'm a Mac guy, but I can get around a PC. I'm in Fairfax, VA. Is this the kind of thing someone could walk me through on the phone?

I'm not a replay tech, but if it were a comdial I would not try to walk someone through messing with the dos files. If your in Fairfax, Ed might be able to help you, he's nearby. He's on this board as EV607797 Ed Vaughn Telesystems, Inc.
