I have a client with the mentioned system. He wants me to set up a couple of phones for headset ops. Is is simple to do? can I talk him thru it? I am in the midwest he is if LA.

Also, Is it possible to call forward calls back off the key system thru a speed dial number or a phantom extension? This is a tempory setup until an 800 number comes into effect. The client wants to be able to field the calls prior to xferring internally, or xferring it externally. Is it as simple as forwarding the phone and putting a "9" in front of the number?

I had a new client tell him I can do it without checking with me. I don't want to possibly lose this new client and say no.

If you can walk them through the programming. I beleive it's Block 4-12

Do you know what the procedure is? I don't even recall if I ever worked on NEC. Do you know where I might find it?

If you never worked on one you may want to get a manual, click on the MANUALS tab at the top of the page. To enter programming hit Feature , Hold, #, 0, * from there you need to know what you are doing, You should really get a manual

Thanks for the info. There is so little work for this one, it really isn't worth the time and hassle since I don't plan on supporting NEC. Thanks again.

C'mon, broaden your horizons. The programming really isn't that bad once you get started. There are a lot of NEC Elite systems out in the World. Lots of potential for upgrades & new equipment. Just a thought.

I can see his point being that the customer is in LA and he is in the Mid-West, But there is alot of NEC's out there.
