I've adopted an Amanda Voice Mail PC DOS system which appears to have a voice card in it with 2 RJ11 ports. It's my assumption this indicates a 4 port voice mail system.

Where should I connect these ports to? To Station Ports? And if so, do these station ports need to be configured in any particular way? Memory block info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

The Amanda dos voice mail system DOS version requires analog (Single Line) ports. Sounds like you need some help contact me.

I've punched down ports 12 & 13 and connected them to the Amanda phone pc.

Assuming they are analog and assuming I have all the hardware required, what steps should I take. Keep in mind this Amanda system was working with this system (NEC Electra Elite 192). Having said that I probably have different ports connected so the configuration will need to be adjusted.

Calling NEC Experts. What programming should I examine? I can easily go through all the ports until I see something different and apply that to ports 12&13 (I know I've connected).

Thanks,

Scratch that. I went through all of the ports and found 25-28 were set to VM. I punched down these ports and connected to the Amanda VM.

It now answers correctly.

I need help with the following. What areas do I need to define (Hunt Group, Etc) in order to setup VM. Basically we need to setup one General VM box that get's hit after 4 system wide rings.

Also, does anyone have an Amanda owner's manual?

Thanks, I'm downloading that.

I want the system to ring the main CO lines and after a delay, ring a hunt group of VM ports.

The Amanda system seems to work great. It can ring extensions, and I've setup a Circular Hunt Group.

I just need to find out how to have incoming CO lines transferred to a VM port after a delay. Since all stations ring (in both day and night mode) can setup a station forward?

set mem. block 3-42 (day) & 3-43 (night) to v-mail (ext#)for each co./trunk
set 3-59 to AA
SET 3-61 to the amount of time for v.m to "wait" to answer. 10,20,30, ect. seconds.
