Hi,
I inherited an Electra Elite 48 system and have a couple of issues that I haven't been able to resolve.
First I added a new trunk and pleaced it into the trunk group. We can call out and the button lights when a call comes in; however, the line never rings on any phone.

Secondly, the customer has two trunk groups that he wants to seperate in MOH. He wants one to have it and the other not. He has an external source, but I can't get them to be seperate. Can one trunk group have MOH disabled?

Thanks in advanced

1st, memory block 4-01 & 02 are your Day/ Night ringing assignments.

Second, what software version is on your CPU? Simply press feature/fnc & dial 3 while on-hook...

I need to look up what version is needed to allow multiple MOH sources, this will have to be set up to allow your customers application.

The software load is 5.5, which does not support 4-66 MOH/RBT. The customer says that it used to work as described until we added the new trunk as Trunk 9. The MOH is plugged into the RCA port.
The second trunk group was programmed as CO09 while the other group was CO00, I tried to set them in all different variations of 3-11/12. No joy.

I went through 4-01/02. None of the lines are set to ring at night, except for port 1 which is c/f to a message.
Could this be a case of a bad port, since it works but not ring?
Thanks

version 5 supports multiple moh sorces. and you're right about 4-66 it is not supported in that software level.

what lines are ringing what phones during the day (4-01)? system is probably in day mode. my guess is that the new line isn't set to ring any phones. got to set it to ring in 4-01 or 4-02

for company a that wants to use moh in 3-11 set their lines to external source (to play from the rca jack)

for company b that does not want moh in 3-11 set their lines to co. for their lines in you'll have to have another music source connected to a spare co trunk. in 3-12 specify their lines to use this trunk.

Thanks.
I have checked the new line and it is set up in the trunk group and the button is set on all of the phone ext as button 7 and is set to green; the line does light up when called and they can make an out going call, It just doesn,t ring.

MOH: All of the lines are set to CO, which seems backwards to me. I tried to set Company b to ext., but the lines did not work at all (no inbound calls or dial tone. Is there some related programming that must be done?

go to a phone that is supposed to ring. do a speaker 601 and turn the ringing volume up. it may just be turned down all the way.

Check memory block 3-42 & 43. Maybe the CO port is DIT somewhere. If the line button light's solid red when called, this is what's happening...

Regarding the MOH, you must pump -24v into the CO port, try Valcom 9941-A, it's what we use...
