Just wondering if anyone has used the Wireless DECT system on an IPK II and what they thought of it.

Haven't used it on the IPK II but have it working on an Aspire M in a small hospital with 7 base stations and 8 DECT sets, works great!

I've run it up on training courses and in my lab and it's real easy to set up compared to IPK1. Good coverage. One little trap is that if the DECT controller card is relocated to a different system and you want to use the same fones you have to delete them from the controller first on the old system otherwize the fones won't register again. Also just make sure that you have good ventilation as DECT gets noisy when the system temp gets to about 35C..

DECT range and handoff works great from base to base, however there is an issue with the sets locking up. If you go into menu mode(which is the only thing you can do) or remove the battery it works again. The sets worked great for the first month or so then this started. Called NEC on the problem and they said they were working on a patch. This has been a couple of months ago though.
