Our company is using the NEC Dterm 80 Elite phone. I need to know how to forward the calls to another extension. For example, I am the receptionist but sometimes I have to file papers in the Human Resources office. How can I transfer all the calls to the other office when I am in there? I can not set the night feature on the phone to do this because our customers do not like our answering machine. Our customers want to talk to a person at all times.

If you want to call forward all calls. from your phone dial FEATURE 60 the extension you want to forward to then FEATURE.
To cancel goto your phone and dial FEATURE 69 FEATURE.

I tried that just now and then called the phone number with my cell phone and the phone rings at my desk with the night feature off, and the call goes straight to the voicemail system when the night feature is on. Do you have any other suggestions?

it will not work when you forward your set.. you have to get the telephone guy to pgm a Call arrival key for all calls and then forward that virtual extension to where ever you are going.. I know the NEC will not forward incoming calls on a local, it will only forward your internal calls.. Nortel does however..
