Do you know how to get into CAT mode and do you know the password for the system?

I have no experience on the NEC other than the DS1000. So I do not know the PW or CAT mode.

Have tones of experience on many other systems though.

Lane, no offense, but you'd be much bettr off subbing this one out to someone experienced with NEC. -- Just my advice, FWIW.

No Offense taken and if there was someone to sub it too I would, but how hard can it be to program a phone to have the ability to use a headset?

We program all types of systems including big PBX's that use MML language so I guess we will figure it out.

I was only looking for a quick heads up and pointed in the right direction.

Lane

having given the clues to getting in. The command you are looking for is 90 yy=00 (SO EFFECTIVELY COMMAND 9000) first data = EXTN No "," KEY No DE (which stands for data entry) F1090 EXE

Hope this helps!

Made an attempt at this today-

My Steps after getting into command 9000

9000>142,01 (DE)
Displayed 9000>142,01:142-
I entered 1090 EXE
Data Not Found was the response. I noticed you mentioned F1090 in you notes - does this "F" need to be entered and if so - How?

Correct.

But 9000>142,01:142- means that the key is currently programmed. It may have been set up as the prime line. You'll want to select an unused key.

I suggest 95, the answer key (mostly useless, otherwise).

that would go like this:

9000>142,95>CCC
9000>142,95>F1090

The F is vitally important. 1090 would mean, "make this a multiple appearance of extension 1090." F1090 means "make this a feature key, for feature F1090 (headset)."

Be very careful to write down what you do so that you can undo it if you cause GSW (General System Weirdness).
