Hello,
Neax 2000 IVS, AD-40
Would like to setup the following:
Incoming --> rings Virtual ext# --> if no answer then transfer call to external #, if no answer then VM box of virtual.
It is current set to ring the Virtual ext# but when no answer AD-40 takes a message doesn’t dial external #.
The AD-40 VM box is set to transfer-> 9, 123-123-1234
What is the best way to do this?
Thank you.

Call forward the virtual no-ans to the external number. once the call in transferred offsite however you will not get the AD 40 to take a msg unless the it is a supervised xfer.
This would tie up two trunks, so if you have centrex feature on your co lines there is a different, better way.

Hi,
I am not sure what is a supervised xfer, the AD-40 is currently set to Await Ans 5rings.
How to set supervised xfer on the VM box?, I don't see the option.
In the VM box, transfer is set to external #.
My problem is the when no answer, the AD-40 VMbox take a message and doesn't call transfer to the external #.
How to configure the AD-40 to transfer the call to external #?
Using two trunks is OK.
Thank you.

You can't use Supervised Transfer. It should be Blined. You have to take Await Answer off and use No wait.

Hi,
There is no option: No wait
There are 3 options: Await Ans, Release, Wait Ring
I tried all of them and still doesn't transfer call to external number in the transfer field.

I have tried BTECH's suggestion: change it to release and make the option after greeting goto>9 and the telephone number.
But the GOTOID field doesn't have enough room to put the whole tel# with Area code.
I tried setting the transfer to Yes >9, phone number but AD-40 only takes messages instead of transferring the call to the external #
Thank you.

That because you have an action said "take a message". You can't have it transfer to outside number and come back to yours ext's MB. The number of rings wouldn't let you go to external number befour it's complete his rout for RNA which is "take a MSG".

I thought about it. The only way to do it is to set up external tel.to forward call for NA back to the system DID number which is some phisical not used ext. Forward that one to MB and copy MSGs to Virtual MB which has CFNA to outside number.
