Sorry for the rant but I really hate this phone system! I called the vendor and they won't help me over the phone. They want to send a tech out. Yeah, so they can get more money from us. I just have a simple question! How do I set up speed dial on the telephone deskset? The User Guide for DTERM Series i Telephone says "To Program, press Feature key, Feature flashes." NO IT DOESN'T! But anyway, it says "Press Feature key, Feature flashes. Press desired One-Touch button, Speaker button LED lights steady. Enter desired station number, feature code or outside access code and telephone number. Display indicates digits dialed. Press Feature again to save the number." Since this didn't work I went to the PBX and used Matworx Ver 11 to try and set this up. I went to Station Assignment, Key Data Assignment, Key 3, Current setting=Speed, Label=SPD, Data=F1103. If I try to change the data to a number that I want it to speed dial, it only takes the first 8 characters. It's a long distance number so I type in 9 (for outside line) 1 (for long distance)areacode and number. Does anyone have a manual for this stupid system? HELP!
Thanks.
Barbara

Stupid System? I don't think I have a manual for a Stupid System. On an NEC 2000, memory needs to be alocated to each station for speed dial access. Don't assign the same memory block to different phones or you could over-write someone else's speed dials. Hope this helps.

Sorry, I've just been struggling with this phone system since I started working here. No training, no background. Anyway, the user guide for the phone says NEAX 2000IPS. The instructions for setting up speed dial don't work. It looks like each station has already been allocated memory when I look in Matworx. What is the next step for assigning a button on the phone to a frequently dialed number? THANKS!

If the phone has been allocated speed dial already in CM 73 and the appropriate key has been programmed F11XX, you should be able to, from idle phone, press conference the key to program, 9 or outside access code, the number, then conference.
