Ted, Nice Graphics. Mine are much plainer.
After 3 months, 6000 miles I am enjoying the Ford Transit that replaced my 2003 Astro: -26 mpg when I checked -1600 pound payload (Astro 1630?) -Little Giant ladder fits fine -So far there is room for everything I have needed - tools and materials -Cargo area has 3 doors. -I can reach everything without climbing in -Tall, but good headroom and can still fit in ramps - sockets on roof for ladder rack if needed -Narrower than the Astro - easier to park in lots -No problem accelerating, merging, passing -May be ugly, but sure gets attention
Bob
With all the variables involved, I am amazed when any voice and data technology works like it is supposed to.

At this time I drive a mazda Protege, to carry my computing stuff it's ok. If I need bigger I will probably look for a Caravan or a Montana. I like Astro van but I'm afraid by the fuel consomation.
