I have a request from a client, but am not sure of how to go about it for the moment:

Downstairs Living Room - primary line

Library - primary line

Upstairs Living Room - primary line

Master Bedroom - primary line

Master Bathroom - primary line

Green Room - primary & private lines

Kitchen - Fax Line

Can any of you recommend a particular phone system, or a way of going about this, so that the private line may ONLY be accessed from the green room? Any help would be appreciated.

I don't think there is a system incapable of private line(s).

You can do this with a Nec dsx 40, Avaya Partner
as well+- 20 others,

you can do this with the majority of the phone systems out there it all depends on how you program it snd the programming of it is the easiest part all you have to do is make sure of what lines are in what possitions on the phone system and program the co line access as to what numbers you want access to at each phone location so it is really simple

5 single line phones and a 2 line phone.

6 single line phones.

Actually I count 7 single line phones plus the FAX.

5 rooms each get a single line (basic black 2500 set), and the Green room gets a Green phone (primary) and a RED phone (private).
