Inherited a DSX-160 and the previous guy is gone. Existing users do not know IP or login. I may have guessed the IP correctly as I am getting the password entry screen, USB does not work. It is not excepting any of the three default passwords. Is there any way to recover password or a backdoor? Without losing the programming.

Did you try enter programming through a phone?

NEC can give you a password for a fee. It is based on the hardware ID number.

You need to default system there is no backdoor got this from NEC.

Thank you everyone. Found out the previous guy installed the V2.21 admin on the server and the system was on 3.34. I should have updated this sooner as I found it right away.

The system password can now be reset. A Password Reset Key can be purchased by providing the Password Reset Code shown in the DSX System Administrator.
