Hi I have a NEC DSX-160 with software ver. 3.34, I also have the VoIP (4port) card installed. I have been trying to setup a softphone X-Lite4 to test the VoIP options. I followed the settings on the NEC DSX site. So far I have it where I can call to and from the DSX or the Softphone. The problem is that you cannot hear any audio/voices back on the DSX when you talk into the softphone. My thought is codex? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank You.

Does the DSX line support a third party SIP station?

I am not sure exactly what you are asking? I am new to this world of phone stuff. I am a computer guy by trade...
The DSX VoIP card has added a location for up to two SIP connections/server?
The regular extensions/stations all have the ability to specify passwords for VoIP.

Hi,
I upgraded to the Beta version 3.40.22
The problem still remains. When you talk into the softphone the DSX user can't hear anything.

Please see this page for details on using X-Lite with DSX. Setting Up X-Lite with DSX Originally posted by DiodeDave: The problem is that you cannot hear any audio/voices back on the DSX when you talk into the softphone. You have an RTP problem. Make sure you are port forwarding UDP ports 1024-1215. Originally posted by DiodeDave: My thought is codex? That would be codecs, not codex. Hey DSX Deus,
I have my main gateway router set to route UDP port 1024-1215 from anywhere internal (LAN), back to my internal (LAN) DSX IP.
Is that correct, as it still is not working?
