I have an old PC running Windows 98 (that's all it can run efficiently). I must have fat-fingered something because now whenever I open a web page, it comes up in the absolutely smallest box possible, maybe an inch square. All I can see is the upper left-hand corner of the page. I always have to open a page, then maximize it.
Anybody know what I have done to cause this? It's also happening on my system at my office using Windows XP. For this reason, I know that it's something that I have done.

Ed
Try streching the window larger, then browse to a new location. Then you can close and reopen and the setting should be saved.
Hope this helps.

Maximize the window to full screen by clicking on the little box then exit browser that should do it.

Ed, don't feel bad and you didn't do anything wrong. You just updated your software from MS like I did when it was offered. Now I have the same problem and, NO, it is supposed to stay but EVERY time you shut off the computer it dumps your settings for this option. That's the XP. My old one was NT 2000 and worked fine.
Also, any installed hardware will suddenly show "CardReader Not Showing" or "CardReader Not Shutting Down" and you have to do a manual shutdown by the "Shut Down Now" or "End Program Now" feature. According to my CG I have lost the software to function parts of my multi-use printer/fax/copier/scanner due to the update and will need to reload the disc (if I can find it).
It worked, why would MS leave this in without a patch or new update? Oh, that's right, it's a computer, not a telephone system.

John, I dragged it to full-size and it worked perfectly! You don't know how long I have been complaining to myself about this.
Merritt, it didn't work when I maximized. It still came back tiny the next time. After I dragged it to full size, it remembered.
Thanks everyone for your input. This place is simply amazing.
Now, to find out how I caused it in the first place.........

Right click on properties of the icon, check run setting; options: max, min, or normal. Set to normal and this should keep your setting as it was when you previously closed it.
