I have always been a fan of Debian more so than its derivatives. My first server setup was on a Debian box with no GUI even installed. It is still up and running today over 5 years later. It is an old (and I mean OLD) Dual Pentium Pro 200 Mhz machine that serves any static web content I want to throw on it, serves as my file server, and sends/receives all my faxes via HylaFax. If it weren't for so much in the phone business being Winblows dependent I wouldn't bother running it on most things. As for now I have to keep 1 desktop running Windows and my company laptop running it. (I made them both dual boot though.) Anyhow Topher, good luck on your switch, I have heard that Linspire is good stuff. Oh, and Kumba, thanks for that link, pretty interesting to see it all laid before you. Take care all and have a good day!
P.S. Definition of Windows = A colorful clown suit for DOS. (although that analogy is quite out of date these days I still think its funny.)
When I die, I want to go peacefully in my sleep like my grandfather, not screaming and panicking like the passengers in his car.

I always liked the saying "Windows are good to throw stuff out of". Other then that, the whole Windows vs. Linux debate is about as old and worn out as the VoIP vs. TDM debate. I'd almost rather bang head against wall with protruding nail then go down that road
