The way I would like this to work is to have a main message which callers will hear. In that message I want them to be able to go directly to a voice mailbox they choose from a list in the main message. They will then hear another message and be able to leave a message of their own.

Now I've went as far as setting the time date, assign fax station, assign prime line to station, set the rings and recorded the main greeting.

How do I set up the different voice mailboxs and record messages for each mailbox?

I would really appreciate any help. Thanks

Not sure if this would help, I read on the manual the folowing:

'all mailboxes that are not associated with a valid extension number aare set as 'greeting only' mailboxes.
Greeting only mailboxes deffer from normal mailboxes in the fact that they do not allow a caller to leave a voicemail message. After the personal greeting of a mailbox of this type is played, the caller is returned to the system main greeting if there is nothing dialed by the caller.
The key element that makes the mailbox a 'greeting only mailbox' is the "PASSWORD". The password for a greeting only mailbox starts wiht a "*", the default for all the greetings only maiboxes is "**99".
By "CHANGING" the password to the any other number, as long as it does not start with "*", willresult in turning the mailbox into a a "NORMAL" mailbox that can accept a voicemail meesage.
The password for either type of mailbox, must be 4 to 6 digits long, including the "*" if it is to be a greeting only box.

Default: All mailboxes that do not have a 'valid extension' number associated with it, is assigned as greeting only mailbox.
Example: VP206 mailboxes that can recive messages are 10-15.

I hope this helps.

I am planning to get one of these units, I hve no need to connect any 'real' extensions (meaning phones) to the unit, I want to use it just as a voicemail/message center for callers and leave voicemail to employees, how is it working for you so far?

I haven't been able to get the system up and running. I was given this V206 by someone who couldn't figure out how to set it up either.

I'd really like to talk to someone who is using the system.

It seems like Voice Logic is out of business, the phone number on the back of the manuel 972-671-8100 is no longer in service and the company web site www.voicelogicinc.com doesn't seem to be working either.

If anyone has a different phone number or web site for the company that would be helpfull.

HI,
Sorry it took me some time to comeback here, I ordered the unit from another place, Voice Logics is not on business anymore but the unit still is being upgraded, You can find some information on how to set it up and manual here:
https://www.mrchips.org/
it depends on your firmware version.
I wont get my unit until a few days from now so I cant play with it as yet, if you come up with something please let me know, I am interested and seeing how it works.

Also, you can find a brochure (very interesting .pdf file about connecting the unit) from the following site:

I've ordered a manual from this site hopefully it will be a little more detailed. Problem is now that it will take more than a week to get here. https://www.lulu.com/stok

Senfeld,

How did the manual from Lulu help you? I own a VP206 also and bought a manual from Stok.

Jerry
