Thanks for all the info...the class is pretty basic, we mostly cover the fundamentals of networking and things a lot of us have learned already. It's a good refresher, it's a 3000 level course, and a good GPA boost :0
Sam, I am going to look into ordering that book. I've got a few good books on the shelf at home. My aunt worked for ICG a while back and gave me The Essential Guide to Telecommunications. It's a few years old but still has a ton of good info.

Nice subject, one of my text books back in the day was Data Communications by Ken Sherman.
Like I say, if you don't adhere to Nyquist, you end up sounding like a cellphone LOL
