Ok, I have a 6414L on the line... and things still dont seem to work correctly. When you say I need the Paired port for it to work correctly, can you elaborate for me? There is only one jack on the desk set, so would I need to run the physical line to the unit? If so plug it in where? I appreciate all your help and patience in working through this with me.

OK, The paired ports are 10-11 12-13 14-15 16-17 18-19 and so on. So lets say you want to put the that phone on 10. Then you shouldn't have anything connected to 11. It's been a long time but if I remember right you just hook the 6414L to 10 and with nothing on 11 it should give you lights.

Ok, thanks so much for taking the time to help me with this. Unfortunately, its not working. I have a 6414L on 10 and nothing on 11. I tried to program the button and the DSS feature works, but the blf does not. Its really the blf the customer is after (of course). Is there a way to test the lights on the set? Is there another programming step I am leaving out? Any help would be appreciated tremendously.

Did you tell it that it was a DSS/BLF in programming? In Station COS it would not be assigned per default.
At station 10, Press Intercom *746* Dial 10 Press (Recall) Press (Spkr) or (Monitor)

Which port do I tell the system is the dss/blf? The 10 or the 11?

Hey thanks it all works now. Just FYI for any others that still have these sets they want to use... The station lights correspond to the actual position/number of the led not the programmed dss at the position. On this phone it starts at 12 and works down to 18 and starts again at 19 at the next column. Hey thanks I really appreciate all the help you guys have given me on this!
