This may sound stupid but when you say you here a clicking sound, that is the relay on the IST card sending ringing voltage.

Do you have a ring generator on the DXP Plus?

Put a Single line set on the IST port and call it and see if it rings.

Buy plugging a CO line directly into the one of the ports on the VM and calling the CO line you should be able to get the voice mail to answer and if not the Dialiogic card "might" be defective. You still might have setup problems in the voice mail. The easiest way to do this is to run a line cord from an existing CO jack straight into the card.

Ok, I finally got it figured out. Thanks for all the help. The guy who lent me the keyvoice software told me to run the pbxsetup (or whatever it is called)utility that comes with keyvoice software. It basically asks you a series of questions about what kind of phone system you are hooking your voice mail server up to (ex: what model phone system (my case is dxp plus), how many numbers in your phone extensions, serial integration, etc.). When I originally set it up I set a certain option for serial integration (I don't remember what the option was called). I reran the setup program and select the standard serial integratin and wa la, it works now. The guy who lent me software told me that because I don't have the dongle key (I am running it in demo mode with just one line available) that the enhanced serial integration stuff won't work. I still see the voice mail prompt on the lcd display and it works fine. I am so relieved.
