I am trying to use a feature commonly known as 2 B channel Transfer (TBCT) or Release Link Trunk. I want to allow a call to come into our PBX and for us to make an outbound call and when dropping off the line the call is still connected at the CO switch. I have already had the PRI line setup on NI2 with this feature with the telco. Where do I program this in my DXP with vmmi feature set 17c? How do I make this call occur? I'm doing this so I don't have to use up our limited 23 channels.
Any help on this would be appreciated.
Thanks!

I almost said the same thing, but then I thought about it and didn't believe line to line transfer would offload the two calls back to the C.O. when the user on the system dropped out. Doesn't it keep both channels tied up until the call is finished? I always thought it did, whether it was on loop start lines or on PRI.

I have it set to line to line transfer. When I receive a call and hit trans/conf and call out to another line I hit trans/conf again to conference them on. However, when I drop off the call it does not stay connected. Also if I hit # before dropping off the call, it ties up my 2nd line and takes up 2 channels. Any other ideas?

Line to line transfer will tie up two channels. Thats because the transfer is in the DXP. If you want to use the transfer for the CO you will need to get the codes and timing from the provider.

The timing for flash is set to 500 and I'm not sure what codes you are speaking of. They stated there should be a setting described as either 2 B channel transfer or Release Line Trunk. I don't see either.
