When this particular business is called after hours the caller is given the option to dial 500 which sends the caller to mailbox 500, mailbox 500 is blind transferred to an 800 number for after hours emergencies. The problem is the caller either sits on hold and is not transferred or gets a recording from the telco saying the number dialed is invalid or you need to dial an area code. The 800 number is legit and is entered in the VM correctly. I can look at trace log and see the number is dialed and I can monitor the VM port and hear the number being dialed. If I monitor the CO line that the DXP is using to dial the 800 number I am only hearing 3 or 4 digits being dialed. ARS is enabled. Does the DXP repeat the digits that were sent to it by the VM? I am able to dial the 800 number from a digital phone with no problem. It appears that the DXP is not sending the correct digits. Does this make sense? The DXP is feature set 13B with and Interchange VM that was installed within the past year.

Obviously you hear the VM digits being dialed, but the system doesn't seem to like passing them on. Are the VM ports to access a line group by dialing 9? Is thru-dialing (end to end signalling) enabled on the VM ports?

It sounds like a timing issue. You may need more pauses in certain places. By monitoring the line, you should be able to hear which part is messing up. Add a pause here and there to help you figure out where the problem is introduced, then add pauses in that place to give it more time, as needed. The first set of pauses you add are just so you can count digits (9,1800p555p1212) will allow you to hear beep, beep beep beep beep, etc., so you can tell at which point it's failing, or which part is being missed. If you have a digit grabber to put on the line, that would work instead of the placemarker pauses. Once you figure out what's being missed, dialed too fast, etc., then you can remove the placemarker pauses and add pauses where needed to work the way it needs to.
