This is the scenario:
1. Voice mail is front ended. 2. Dial 0, call rings UCD 410, ext. 101,102,103. 2. After 6 rings to UCD 410, call to forward to ext. 101 mail box.
I can easily get the reroute to goto ext. 101 but is there any way to get reroute to goto ext. 101's mailbox directly without forwarding ext. 101's phone?
Thanks, Bill.

You're going to have to work on the OverFlow programming and also may have to use UCD 416. Do a search for "UCD DX-80". That may help. I'm assuming that you have the SABs from Comdial and the Installation Manual.

Yes I have the manuals and the SABs. We are a Comdial Gold dealer. Unlike the Vodavi XTS which allows a direct reroute to a mailbox, the Comdial doesn't seem to allow it. Overflow and reroute have no equivalent programming field like Vodavi's VMID (Vodavi Gold dealer too). I don't know the work around.
I'm wondering if I can play with the trans.txt file and accomplish my goal with a reroute directly to a box? Hmmmm...off to look at my Corporate Office master manual.
Bill.

Check out some of the earlier threads. I'm almost sure that Mark K. (Comdial Mod) gave me an answer about this. I think you can do that with the trans.txt---but I think that Mark has a much faster way of getting this scenario done.
I'm also assuming that the UCD programming in the 120 is the same as the 80. I have a 120 here, bet we haven't fired it up yet.
Re-Route would be to the VM UCD group--then the overflow would be to the extension (I think). Check out those other threads.

In the trans.txt file, have the reroute go to the mailbox followed by ,*,* (101,*,*). If not using UCD prompts, change the UCD group you're using from 410 (UCD 1) to 415 (UCD 6). This will then be the one you will translate the reroute for in trans.txt. In 415, set your reroute to 433 (UCD 24 - VM), so it will go to voicemail and then be translated as I mentioned.
