How do you reset someone's VM password? I purchase a manual set for our Samsung Prostar DCS system but didn't realize that VM is separate manual and documentation. The employee left and I am replacing them at a company that has no tech expertise. Help?

You would have to go into the Admin buy calling the VMS and when it answers press * then 999 , you will then enter the access code and go to 9 from there you can admin the mailbox's

Actually, I need to reset the password without knowing the old one. The person that use to sit at this desk has left the company and now I need to setup VM but I need to reset the password to be able to get in to customize it.

I would have no way of knowing what he/she set the password as, if it has been changed from the default then you have a problem, have you gotten with him to ask, he should tell you as it's the companies system not his. And if he/she left under bad feelings I would get it changed as fast as I could, perhaps one of the moderators for Samsung will chime in and get with you, I know of no backdoor code.

That might be a bit of a challenge since he was fired but it's worth a try. I am assuming somewhere in a manual there is some command that can do that for you like on the phone keypad lock itself in the DCS manual.

No you won't find that in any manual, that would be something a Samsung tech would know. But that's not me, I chimed in to see if I could help or point you in the right direction. I will email you the default code, so look for it.

Is it a Cadence or an SVMi product assuming it's a Samsung voicemail.
