Ok we took over a new account and this customer has a iDCS500 R1 with a TEPRI card in slot one. They have 16 DLI cards in slots 1-7 and an SVMi-8 in slot 8. It also has 2 PSU-B's.
Well when we first got there it was doing weird things with the voicemail. When you pressed the voicemail button it was ringing extension 296. When you would go to extension 296 and press the voicemail button it would say "Self STN" I checked the station groups and everything was set up right. At first I thought it was a power issue because when I turned off the phone system and removed the last 16 DLI card then turned it back on it seemed that all the problems were fixed. So we replaced both of the power supplies and the system was still doing the same thing.
Another problem that they were having is that on the 64 button AOM module some stations were showing busy that weren't actually busy and some werent showing busy when they were actually busy. The AOM is connected to a station port and not on a daughterboard. There are no daughterboards on the phone system.
I have talked with Samsung and they said that it has enough power to power everything on the system so they dont think it is a power issue. They thought that it was a database error. So, I defaulted the system and reprogrammed everything through the phone. It took forever but oh wells.
Well, now everything seems to be working fine except for one thing. The busy lamp problem on the AOM that we were having before we still have. Now Samsung is saying that it is the MCP card. Any of you guys run up against a problem like this? I am pretty much out of ideas.....

Why don't you e-mail the database to them and have them look at it?
Once before on a 50 everything looked perfect but it had wierd problems. Florida modemed into it, sucked the data down and pushed it back up saying it was perfectly programmed. Everything worked. It was something flaky that corrected itself with an upload of what was supposed to be there but was confused.
Can you download it to your PC and push it back up?
Its worth a try, worked for us.

A second thought, try deleing the relationship and then reestablishing it. And/or try connecting it to a different station port and reestablish the relationship.

You have a curupt database i have seen this before this is probalby due to upgrade in the past that didn't go right. also possible buffer memory is full and that can create bunch or bizzare problem like class of service not working wright.. to fix this first you backup your database to the smart media this is in MMC:815 select sram the copy to SMDB this will take sometime like 3 to 8 min depending on how big is your database, then you shutdown the system and you remove the mcp,scp & lcp whatever card you got in your system you turn off all the supercap switch to erase the memory, then you turn them all on and re-assemble card, the reinstall card in system then power up your system and everything should be back to normal... remember to login into your system with Deffault password when you did all this because the system will be deffaulted , now go back to MMC:815 and do SMDB to SRAM to return to previous setup and voila it should be working properly... if you have other question don't esitate to leave me a message here and i will answer you no problem . Good Luck!

Well we got a new MCP card here that we are going to put in there and then reload the database in there. We will see how that goes. Samsung techsupport thought it was the MCP card so we are going to replace it. It's under warranty so no harm done really.

I did try downloading the databse. It downloaded onto my PC fine. I defaulted the system and then it would not upload so I jsut reprogrammed it all by hand. But those problems still existed after I defaulted the system and reprogrammed it.

when you default the system you must reset the super CAP because some part of memory don't get initialysed the software way... don't know why but it's the only way i manage to fix the problem..

Well tonight we went out, downloaded the SRAM to the SMDB, turned off the system, unplugged the power, turned off the caps, removed the power supplies and the MCP card. Then I let it sit there for about 5 minutes. Then I replaced the MCP card with a new MCP card but the same Smart Media card. I put everything back together and turned on the system. After it loaded I loaded the SMDB to the SRAM. It all came up fine with no quirks.
One thing I am worried about is that at the front there is two AOM modules. They are connected straight to station ports, not daughterboards in case you were wondering. Anyways, they were not showing all the phones that were actually on DND. But if I were to go to the phone that was on DND, intercom 201 (the master of the two AOM's) and hang up, the DND flashing would start. It would not start flashing unless I did something with the phone that was on DND. Is that normal?
