Try using the PC requirements that Samsung sends out for their schools and before I would default and reload I would save the customer data to the laptop and upload the system from the PC. Be sure and leave the battery switch off for at least 2 minutes before loading your database back in. The PC will load the software but not the pointers which the smart media would load. Another trick is to turn off MMC 409 (trunk status) before doing the download
