How would you go about switching the number that you use prior to dialing an outside number on an IDCS500? We are currently using the number "9".

Thanks

Be wary of what you switch it too. You may delete an important feature access code, an extension, group, etc.

You can always add a * in front of the feature codes to free up a number

If you only want two dial groups with 1 digit, delete all of the 800, 801, 802 etc, in 724, then create a group 8.

You could change 9 to 99 in 724 and then create a 98 group, and not mess with the 800s group except to delete one as you can't add any more groups without taking one away.

Off the top of my head 77 was an available code.

Australia dials 0 for an outside line 9 for reception. I had an indial range which was 2 thats the default range for extensions so I swapped all features for 2 an 6 (fwding) so the customer only had to remember one number. What ever number you take swap it with 9.
