Does anybody know what mobile phone can run Softphone?
Been searching the net for some ideas, amd this is what i've got so far
Blackberry 8100 pearl O2 XDA2s
These both have the processor that the spec for softphone requires but the XDA runs Microsoft Windows Mobile 5.0 but the spec for softphone says it needs Pocket PC 2002 or 2003, and I don't know what the Blackberry uses.
Spec for softphone
Operating System Pocket PC 2002 or 2003 CPU 400 MHz, Intel XScale or higher Memory 64 MByte or higher Resolution 240×320 or higher

Where have you found a softphone version made by samsung/compatible with an officeserv system that runs on pocket pc? As far as I knew it was a pc app only.

From the buzz that I've heard from Samsung they will be coming out with a version of the softphone for pocket PC's / smart phones. It was in developement last I heard from our regional rep. I'd love to know where you got this version of softphone because I've got a slue of customers that would die to have it including myself.

Thats strange. I would of thought that lots of people would be using it. Our tech support in the UK are through a company called Crane, who do samsung, tosh, siemens etc. If you want I can email you the software & manual.

Do yourselves a favor: don't bother.
The reason none of the US dealers have heard of it is becaues I won't release it. Because it doesn't work on Smartphones.
It works strictly on PDAs, and I didn't deem it worthy to release to the 15 people in the US who still use a PDA instead of a Smartphone.
To date I've tried over a dozen Smartphones and not found a single one it works on. Some it runs but resets its' connection every few seconds. Some it just crashes, some it says you can't use it on this device.
Yet to find a model available in the US that it works on, so I consulted the programmers. Their direct answer was this: "due to driver trouble Smartphone cannot be supported, only PDA."
I'm trying to convince them to change that thought process, but am as of yet unsuccessful...
