Have a Plantornics cordless headset, base with lifter (CS60 model). Works brilliantly on internal calls, i.e. phone rings, mic in lifter attached to phone picks up ringing, sends message to base and cordless headset rings in users ear.
However, it will not work on external calls because of the two ring burst - the base does not seem to register there is a call. On internal calls the one long ring burst is acknowledged.
Does anyone know of a workaround e.g. swap the two ring burst to internal calls and the single long ring burst to internal? Or something similar?

What system are you using?

Many Samsung systems allow you to change the ring type for calls to a station, so you could (potentially) do as you ask.

Actually it sounds like you have it reversed. Internal calls are typically a double ring and external calls are a single ring. You can by the way change the ring cadence for both. We sell the same model wireless headsets and do not experience any of your issues though.

UK ringing is opposite to the US benb,
Messing with the cadence will help and should cure this problem.

Guess I should have considered that. Though if it is the cadence that is causing the issue he could try adjusting it.

Thx so far guys. You are right leemc1978, cadence is reversed here in NZ too! I have found some MMCs that will alter slt ring cadence and some of the internal cadences such as ring back and dial tone etc (MMC 506 and 510) but I can't find anything that will alter incoming ring cadence. If I could reverse the cadences and have a long ring on external calls and the two burst on internal station to staion then that would get me by?
