I have recently added two "new and previously unused" phone extensions to our phone system and neither of them ring. Can someone assist me in how I might fix this issue? Everything else (ring out, voicemail, etc.)seems to work fine but the phones just do not ring and go directly to voicemail.
Thank you

At the phone dial "transfr 102" "4" and see if that does the trick

I appreciate the help but that did not work. Do you have any other suggestions?
Thank you.

I'd have guessed a forward issue like above. Have another look around 102. Try cancelling fowarding with 0 but remember to put FNA back on after testing.
Other ideas if they foward after a delay ie 15 seconds and 102 is clear check preset forward no answer. edit: forgot it was a DCS, dont think its has that anyway Long shot but If SLI exts make sure you have a cap on the socket

Try dialling '600' to cancel all forwards.
Do you want them to ring as part of a hunt group, or are you dialling the extn internally and its not ringing?
Can you try and give a bit more info, what system you are on etc.

Neither of the those worked either but you mentioned something that may be helpful or important to you all. The phone DOES ring if called from an internal line but NOT from an external line.
System Info: Starmail Voice Processing System Samsung Prostar DCS Compact
Thank you.

If these are "new" extensions then my guess is that they are not in the station group to receive ringing. You would need to put them into the station group where the incoming calls ring ie 501.

Can you be a little more specific on what I need to enter prior to 501?
Thank you

Is it just the new phones that don't ring? I just had a problem like that but none of the phones would ring. Outgoing calls worked fine but incoming calls did not ring. The CO4 card was the problem.
