Hi all,
I just installed an OS 500r2 M version in a hotel but I can't get the call costing to work, I have the tables built in the rate coaculation table, costing dial plan, cost rate and hotel enabled its correct mmc but when I make a test call from a room extension I just get straight smdr without any costing.

I'm using serial port 2 set as smdr as the output. Any info would be appreciated.

Check your smdr options. Option number 16,17 and 18

Option 16 KMMC=yes 17-Hotel cost yes 18 Hotel page feed end.

In System IO I have port 2 set for smdr, any chance it needs to be set as HM report or PMS smdr, Or is it possible that the costing only works in the L version?

I won't be back on site until Weds to test live.

Are the pins in your cable correct? You can't use a regular serial cable to connect, you must either make or buy a custom cable.

If you think the cable is correct, open hyperterminal and you should see the raw data.

Thanks for the reply, I get smdr fine it's the costing that's not being added. I think I need to output it in the HM report, I'll test that out tommorrow by making some test calls from a guest room and try printing a bill
