Similar to kxt308's problem but I am trying to set up a key to rec conversations as and when required. I have programmed the key in mmc*** to rec in my mailbox and checked COS features and COS assignment. When in a call I should then be able to hit the rec key and rec to my mailbox, this ain't working. We have a 7200 and SVMi-20e any suggestions ??

Make sure the extender on the CR key is the mailbox that you want to record in.

Go to mmc xxx and set up a call record button with the extender being the mailbox for the extension doing the recording. Then when you are on a call, press the call record button to start recording. I have used this feature several times on a 7200 and svmi-20e.

Has something changed... I haven't used the extender for a long time and I don't have any problems.

CIT is right, if you are going to record the conversation into your personal mailbox, you don't need to add the extender. If you wanting to record the call to another mailbox other than your own, you will need to use the extender.

What happens when you hit the CR key? I use this on our office 100 running 2.72 on an 18 idcs all the time. Set has DT keys for most lines, and 1 call key. Maybe the issue is you dont have enough call keys?

Sorry guys none of the above helps. I have setup the key as a CR key with my mailbox as the extender. I have also set it up without extenders and all other options such as VMREC, VMSREC,etc but still to no avail :bang: :bang:

I just tried it on the 7200 in our lab and it worked fine. You only need VMREC set to yes. Make sure you are in the correct COS.
Quick question... have you verified the mailbox is working correctly? Try deleting the mailbox, then re-create it and try again.
