Have a DCS70 that is night switched to AA. On an incomming call the AA picks up and plays the message, hangs up the caller then hands it back to ring the extensions. Upsets anyone working back late... Any clues?

Could you explain the problem a little more? If the AA is dropping the call as you stated, what is ringing the extensions?

The AA is working correctly and hangs up the line after the message. The problem is the system then goes back to "phantom" ringing the extensions. I have very little experience on the DCS70 and had to purchase the manuals after they rang me in frustration. Previous to this, the Samsung dealer experienced similar problems, reprogrammed the unit a few times and it reverts back to this. Backup battery has been checked.

Eric.

Sounds like the incoming lines are heating up. Check the ring voltage on your lines. If it is a T1 or PRI then the problem is likely in the providers router/channel bank and they need to check their settings.

If this was a line or SP fault, it would also show in other areas, not just AA which is only used after hours to advice clients of A/H emergency numbers. Client is only 200 yards from the exchange. Thought VM/AA Options in MMC726 were incorrect but am unsure. MMC733 (AA Plan Table) Day Msg is set to 01, Night Msg is set to 03.

Are you 100% positive that the AA is dropping the line? If you button map line appearances on a phone do you actually see the LED of that line turn off? We need to be eliminate items before we can solve the problem.
