HI! There All , My new customer which i took over from friends closed Biz, has been a big pain because he downsized to smaller building and changed service provider from analogue trunks to VOip without talking to me first  And this is a computer sales and repair store, 1st he was without tel lines for a week eek So we forwarded his main # to cell , the Allstream had to release his lines to other provider, Then Bell took forever to deliver the Dsl to the new location, , The main # is working but has issues like dropped calls the SVMI8 dosen't awalys answer on the same rings , in fact the 2nd line is not working right it dosen't hunt ,it 1st gets a sttuter tone then stops you go to dial and it wants an acsess code, 3rd line still dosen't work , the 4 th line is okay and fax line is okay , we have tickets to get this resolved , but i can't wait all day for this , they are using the sipura ata, the computer guy set then up . The first line if not answered starts ringing the 4th line if i don't set the Svmi8 for about 10 sec.s it hops over to the 4th and rings until someone picks or the VM answers. Here my question after this long YAP a LOT , Is why does IDCS 100 or the svmi not like the Voip ?? I called last night after hrs it rang then got a got like a busy tone i called again it didn't answer i called again it answered on 3rd ring it should have anwswered on the 5 or 6th, sometime it does answer on 5th or 6th. Any insite on this would be helpful , oooh yaaa the VOip is saying him money ,>Well i'm not against the service but you should wait until after you move to the new location and get settled before you jump to other provider and do your home on the reality of the PROS ?CoNS? Any ways i have to learn this service any ways. call

It's not just Samsung it's almost all vendors. This is the core Of why VoIP has so many issues. They just plain don't follow Bell Core standards. Hell, Bell can't even follow the standards. When a vendor builds a system they are expected to be within the Bell specs. So you can see were this goes right?

Voltage issues are the number one cause of wierd problems between systems and providers. Honestly you need to look into what the primary test results of the lines are. I do not install any new lines or systems to lines. That I have not tested first for this very reason. :thumb:
