Hello,

*Somewhat new to Samsung - apologies in advance if my questions are basic.

Have a customer that has purchased OfficeServ 7200 with both digital and VOIP sets.

1. Is there any way to get the system working if they have a dynamic IP without having to log back into the system adn update the public IP address of the system ? The client is more than happy repointing their VOIP/Softphones to the new dynamic IP which changes every 2-3 weeks but not so happy with having to log into the phone system to change the system IPs. They are running behind a NAT/Firewall 192.168.1.xxx network. .140 is system, .141 MGI etc. etc.

2. We have set it so that press x1 for Sales, x2 for Support, x3 for Tech. And various extensions ring based on that. But they would like their sets to display the ORIGINATING extension entered so their staff can respond "Good afternoon Sales, or Support or whatever. Currently there is no way for "John" to know if the phone is rining due to a sales call, or support call or if his wife is calling to pick up some groceries after work. They also want Call Display ideally too which of course does work now.

Kindly help.

Regards,

From what I know. you have to go into adm and change the IP address every time it changes. Which IP is changing, the PUBLIC IP or the private IP. Why can't they get a static IP.

The second part of the question - If you build groups, then you can name those groups, when the call comes into the appropriate group it should show the name of the group on the display. Hope this helps.

Ironhedz,

Thanks for your reply. They have ordered a static IP - so problem #1 solved.

Regarding #2 - if we dial in on x1 or x105 (actual extension) the lcd screen just displays:

transfer FM 188

Again, thanks for your help.

Reason for getting fm 188 is because the call is transfered from voice mail as ironhedz says put in groups and name them eg 105 in group 510 sales

So, can we have the Deparment (ie. x105, x1) and the Call/Name Display at the same time?

Sales or Support only show up from internal calls. External callers that dial into x1 (Sales) x2 (Support) come in still as transfer FM 188.
