7100 - v4.53c - embedded VM

Customer uses the VM for auto-attendant. They would like the option for the customer to press 4 and they would be transferred to another business location. From the business line I can press FLASH and dial another number and hangup and it does transfer.
I'm trying to accomplish this through the Auto-attendant. I think I need to use a dial block but I'm not sure how to use the dial block and incorporate the flash and number. I also don't know how to associate that dial block into option 4 of the day menu selection.

Its my first time trying this.

Not sure what the code is for flash in a dial block (would be the same as in a speed dial).

Your option 4 however is easy, in your aa menu on page 2 (the name of this section i can't remember atm) enter 4 goto dial then select your dial block

nameless, thanks I think I found it. I believe the "&" sign is what I need for a hook flash.

It will be option 4 - goto - DAL - my dial block. The DAL option is what I wasn't sure of.

I'm not sure why, but when I put my dial block in it's field it prompts me for a password or code. Is this right? Maybe that's to prevent highjacking of the vm for LD calls, however when I call in and choose option 4 it prompts me for a password. Not sure why.

What supervision level and what station type is your dial block set to?

I have found it needs partial supervision.

never had it ask for a password before, i think this may be due to you putting a & symbol in.

Since the SVMi is an extension you can use feature codes, so i suggest changing your station type to centrex transfer and making sure its dialling the correct digits for the flash feature code (default 49)
