Recently upgraded a customer from a OS 100 rev2 to a 7002s. SW 4.53c . They have several SMT-'5210s and some older ITP 5021s and 5121s. The 50s are having trouble with static and real bad audio quality, if there is audios at all. I can recreate the issue in my office with 3 IP sets, one SMT, one ITP5121, and one ITP5021. Do I need to upgrade the sw in the older 50s to be compatible with the newer system?
I cannot find any tech bulletins or SW patches.

I'd recommend upgrading the handset firmware to latest version.
I assume the handsets are on the local LAN?

The ITP-50xxD handset's don't support MPS, this usually only affects DTMF but may have other issues with those very old handsets.
You can try upgrading them to the latest version (3.0 is what I have), but you may have to replace them.
The ITP-51xxD will support MPS on the latest firmware (3.37 is what I have)
