I'm trying to find some plece in Maryland where I can have some cabling traning (cat5-6 and fiber) I was looking on-line but I could not find even one. I'm trying to get certification on cabling.
does anyone knows some place>?????

Most cable supply houses have a manufactures rep day
once or twice a year.

Yes our cable supplier is always having free training and rep days. And they earns pionts on your RCDD also.
So if I were you I would check with your cable supplier.

Rexel can get you training from Leviton on CAT5/6. They don't do much fiber. I'll try to dig up some resources on fiber.

AFL Does classes on Fiber. However my class for 2 days just set me back $2300.

I would also recommend checking with a distributor. Most if not all offer some type of classes.

Although you're seeking courses to achieve specific certifications, these free installation instructions and instructional videos should provide you with some good background knowledge associated with fiber termination, etc. Please don't get mad, but here's a real nice Fiber Course Conference coming up next month out in Anaheim CA. I'll see what I can locate in your area.

Get with your local distributor and they can set up a training class with a particular manufacturer's rep that will get you certified.

I don't believe it will be a certification for any general cable installation, it will only be for that particular brand.

That fiber course in Anaheim looks good. But, it will be way over the OP's head.
