I want to know if there is a tester that can read switch IP addresses and port numbers on cisco switches? I spend my time tracing down patch panel ports via LAN wiring configuration diagrams that are often inacurate or out of date. If some one can give a recomend on which one to buy I would very much appriciate it.

A easy way to find which port the cable is plugged into is a toner like this one. Cabe Tracker It will make the link light on the port pulse in a certain sequence so you can find it easily.
