If KSU-less phones are used, you can expect to have cross-talk complaints after 5-6 sets are connected.

Finally got this sorted out.

I had to explain the situation to the EU visually with some blocks hanging on a wall and daisy chained together. They got the point.

They had their old telephone guy come in and give them an estimate for moving the current system over to the new building and upgrading.

Old Telco guy called me and asked me to run the telco lines into a switch plate and he would then run from that to the PBX or Comdex not sure which.

I asked if I should just use "4 and 5 for the first pair" he stated, no punch down all 8 because he didn't know which pair he would use. I just rolled my eyes and said OK.

I ran this by some guys at the Verizon switch where I contract and they thought it was a bad setup. So what ever I will do just as was asked and let it all roll back on him.

The old phone guy is a hack of sorts. I will post a pic of his spectacular work and you will understand.

Thanks for all the replies though everyone I do appreciate it.

Old phone guy sounds like some of the work I have seen around here...just wondering, where in Ohio are you?
