As Hal says, it's just a marketing gimmick. If there are no official specifications for how Cat5e should perform at 350Mhz, then what exactly does it mean when they say it's tested up to 350Mhz? What kind of performance characteristics should we expect to see at 350Mhz, and why should we care? You won't run anything better than gigabit ethernet over Cat5e, no matter what else it may say on the jacket. If the manufacturer uses other designations like Cat5a, Cat5E or Cat6e, that's just more marketing hype.
