Spare ports on Patch Panel?

Use 3 ports, call them A, B, and C. Patch from C to port going to actual jack on wall. Use jumper wire on back of patch panel to go from C's Wht/Blu to A's Wht/Blu. Another jumper from C's Wht/Orn (568-B wiring) to B's Wht/Blu. Patch digital station to A, credit card to B.

At workstation, either split out the ports, OR, cut off one end of a patch cord, put Wht/Blu and Wht/Grn on jack A, Wht/Orn and Wht/Brn (in the Blu and Grn positions) on jack B. Replace the faceplate with a duplex, pop out the keystone, plug in the patch cord, put A and B in the faceplate, bury the "real" jack and patch cord in the wall.

Sam, Ive used the seimon splitters. They are clean looking and quick to install but a little pricey.

RM, if they are reliable (read STURDY), then I'd assume they're worth it!

I have used them a lot, and they are worth it. They come in different configs...two ten base ts or two usocs or one of each. So just be careful what you order
