If you search on RJ45 you'll find this and many other discussions on the misuse of the "RJ" terminology. The one I linked I believe was the first of many. I'm surprised Ed hasn't dropped by. He's probably off in some corner doing this :bang: laugh

Maybe they should teach this stuff in 4th grade, so by the time folks grow up and become wanna-be telephone men, they will already know enough not to say "RJ" in polite conversation.

Yeah RJ for a jack that has nothing to do with the LEC. And HANDSET to describe the clunky thing sitting on the desk that the HANDSET rests in/on when not in use! :bang:
