Is Mrs. O'Leary's cow the reasoning behind this? [/b]Years ago I put a PBX in for Marymount Manhattan College (A Tele Resources 32, if anybody even know what that is anymore!). The job was piped by the EC from the station to the IDFs or the MDF. This was a decision by the college and as an installer I would say it was one of the best installs I ever worked on.
I think all of would agree that there is nothing better, nothing more secure and nothing as future-proof as point-to-point conduit.
Is it overkill? Perhaps? Does it create a really excellent communications environment? I would say so.
As to why a particular jurisdiction, corporation or entity decides on this requirement - who knows? But IMHO it sure makes for a good installation.
