HI all
About two years ago we wired some construction trailers for voice and data. We used CMX an indoor outdoor cat 5E cable. Customer booked us three weeks ago to remove all the cable. Where we installed it we used PVC two hole straps to hang the cable under the trailers, so they wern't laying on the ground or you have a mouse problem. We went out removed all the straps and tie wraps. The server room was close to the outside wall. I pulled the wires off the patch panels. Pushed the head down under the trailer, pulled it outside and tied to to the front of the truck and pulled all the wires out from under the trailer. This is a first for me.

It was a great day as well. It was a little wet under the trailer but not too bad. They said that they were going to reuse at the next project, not me. LOL

Looks like it would fetch a couple of hundred bucks at the scrap yard. That's about all it's good for now in my opinion.

If that's what the customer wont's ! Then re-use the old cable. It would be tedious work installing scrap wire

you wouldn't get much at the scap yards here in Alberta, maybe $10 bucks
