If you install VIP you get the TAPI driver loaded into the operating system. You do not need TAPI phones, only the TAPI driver. We downloaded the VIP and installed the software. It loads the driver into the registry, but you need a licsene to run the VIP in the ESI system. But the driver is installed on the machine.... Try it out and see... I suggest you always buy the VIP liscene. Act will have the properties for TAPI configuration and the stuff pops killer diller. Gold mine (ver 6 and below) will require that third party middleware - US infotel as mentioned by UPSTATENY. Make sure you understand the application because you can either install it on the LAN or on the workstation ( third party control or first party). Here is the link: https://www.usinfotel.com/screenpops/ivr/acd/compatible_phones.php Also, I am told that Version seven of Goldmine will have the TAPI support.

Anyone (breeze?) used Act! to do incoming call screen pop with VIP? I can dial out via Act and VIP through my ESI phone but no incoming pop and I can't find anything in the ACT help.
