I am currently running an X Class 256X FSII on a PRI. I have successfully setup the system to notify my pager when someone leaves me a voicemail, but when I try to have it call me when I get new voicemail, the system never attempts to pick up a line and dial. Pager notification works Great, but the cellular phone that my agency has given me is not a very good one and is VERY difficult to use when attempting to remotely check e-mail. When I press *225 on my cell phone, it doesn't send the * signal to ESI AutoAttendant, so I end up just calling my extension, having to hang up and try again. I would like to be able to have the system call me and allow me to just enter my password when I have new voicemails. Can anyone help me??? Thanks.

P.S.: I have ESI-Admin and have checked the parameters and have attempted to make them the same as for Paging, but still no good. I have since changed them back to the defaults. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

You'll probably need to give us better profile information before anyone here is willing to provide support. Geograpic location is very important to us. Thanks.

Under function 5 in installers programming make sure the number of attempts isn't set to 0.

ESI-Admin will allow you to set the number of attempts. I will try that, but I have been using my mailbox and making sure that it was empty, leaving a test message by just dialing my extension and leaving a short message and waiting to see what happens. When it is set to Pager Only, the pager goes off every time, but as soon as I throw the phone notification into the mix, it quits working again.

I just tried it, and the problem WAS the Phone attempts setting. I set that to 1 and now it works GREAT! Now I don't have to worry about trying to call back and attempting to get into my voicemail during the day, I can just have it call me and let me enter my password. Thanks for All of your help everyone!
