I have one customer 72E GEN 2 FS1, all calls get answered by ID1, they are telling me people calling in to their system, when dialing a 3 digit ext the 72e does not hear the DTMF & takes it as a no response and routes to ext 100. I have never been able to re-create this by calling in from other customer sites ????

Maybe this is a stupid question, but have you checked with ESI yet on this issue? I'm just asking because the problem sounds familiar, like possibly one we may have run across before, and they may have a suggestion on how to fix it. If you have already called them (which may, in fact be the reason you came here... , by the way), then I guess the thing to do would be to start by asking the simple questions: What software version are they running? What type lines do they have (copper, channel bank, T1, PRI, etc.)? If tech support has been contacted, have you attempted to have the customer give you date and time when it occurs, and have tech support try to locate the problem in Debug? (The "tagging" procedure - pressing the record button twice, in this case, probably wouldn't be applicable since it's on inbound calls...although, I suppose the person who answers the misdirected call could "tag" it.)

Lines are copper from the street, Tech support told me to adjust F1663, I have told the customer to note the next time this is reported, so as you say they can do a de-bug, This system was installed 2/06 just before the 06 product roll out........

Any idea what the SW version is, or whether it's up-to-date? Some bugs that make it out with the initial release get worked out in later releases.

I had this exact same thing happen on a 72e a year or so ago, it was a bad port card. It may have been intermittent at first, but I'm sure the customer never noticed it because it was the 2nd port card on an 8 line system. Another symptom was that all stations on that port card could not hear the DTMF when dialing (internal and external)
I used to have trouble with missed digits all the time when dialing into my own office system (any missed digit will cause a reroute to X100) until I got a new cell phone a month or so ago- then it was 100% reliable, so you may want to ask if it's mobile callers having the trouble.

This site has a 612 in slot 1 & a 684 in slot 2, they have 8CO's lines 1 thru 6 are on the 612 & 7,8 on the 684, these are actually 2 hunt groups of 4lines lines 1 to 4 get answered by ID1 & lines 5 to 8 get answered by ID2. I guess I need to test ringing in on all 8 individual numbers.
