Straight from the manual F166 Field 5: Caller ID gain
Adjust this level if Caller ID information isn’t being displayed. Setting this field tells the system
how much CID signal it needs to determine whether the signal is valid CID. This is a value set
in the DSP and is similar to the fax energy level (see Function 165, field 4, page D.4).
Range: 1–32767. Default: 20000.
Warning: Adjusting field 5 while calls are in progress may result in temporary loss of audio.

try changing it to 8000 and see if that works.

Software is version 2.2.7 which is old. But belive me feature 166 is not there. I know it doesnt just drop out of the system but its gone. I wonder if the previous vendor did a bad software update after the inital install. I lose prompts after updates sometimes. Do you think it may be a problem with the flash drive. Since it needs a software update anyway I'm gonna just replace the flash drive.

Why don't you just contact esi to see if it's still under warranty? Problem solved, right?

System isnt under warranty. Replaced flash drive problem sloved. Had a few hard drives die in my time but never had a single problem with a flash drive. It was wierd the only problem was the cid.

Thanks for all the suggestions.
