Thanks XConnect for pointing out that post.

I should perhaps mention that I have also learned that the cable for connecting to the VS-VML is not a simple crossover. I had based that assumption on

https://www.sundance-communications.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?/ubb/get_topic/f/29/t/000064.html

but apparently that does not apply to Adix-VS.

A developer at Zero Assumption Recovery ( https://www.z-a-recovery.com ) provided an astonishing level of support for their product and actually wrote a custom tool that allowed me to restore the flash card to the state it was in before I reformatted it. (I had created a "ZAR" image before working on the card.)

Unfortunately, even in its original state, the voicemail card is still not functioning and will not accept a connection from the VMI System Editor. That means it needs repair, and the prices we have been quoted for repair have led us to conclude that it's not worth repairing. Looks like we'll be replacing the system with a Linksys VoIP solution.

Thanks to those here who tried to help.

Would you PM me your repair price that you have been quoted? I am suprised that the cost of a VM card is more than a new Linkys system. I may be able to point you in the right direction for a repair facility.

PM sent. I didn't mean to say that the Linksys would cost less than an Iwatsu repair. But based on what we were quoted, it won't be much more, and it gives them a new system rather than investing in a 7-year-old system.
