I have an IWATSU ADIX VS-KSU / IX-12KTD-2 phone system. I have two questions:

1. How do I change the display name (not the time and date) on the phones?

2. I need to change the voice mail time. When I select option 4 "system management" it replies "that option is not available on this menu or is not included in your class of service". How do I change the voice mail time?

To change the time you have to make sure you select system management from a administrator menu. It is usually the attendant station. When we install a system we add another administrator box. Check with the system admin.

To change the name on the phone you are going to have to get into programming either through the Attendant station or the PC programmer. It is in Class 4.

There is a way to program the station display name without going into software programming. PM me if you'd like details.

How do I change global speed dial names/numbers on this system from the attendant station? I can change the names on the intercom, but am not sure how to access speed dial. Is it just a different class?

To program a Personal Speed Dial (90-99) or System Speed Dial (00 – 89) *System may only be entered at an attendant station.
1. Press FEAT, SPD
2. Dial the desired bin
3. Dial the phone number.
4. Press the Feature button [FEAT] to end the program.

To register a directory name for a Speed Dial Number
1. Press FEAT, SPD
2. Press *
4. Dial the desired bin
5. Register the letters of the name using the dial pad.
6. Press the HOLD button to enter that letter or number.
8. When finished, press the FEAT key to store the name.

The name may be 10 characters long.
If you make a mistake, press the HOLD button to back space to the desired position.

I realize this is quite a longshot, since this thread is almost a decade old, but can anyone tell me how to change the intercom/icm names? I have looked through the manuals and must be missing something. . . I see how to change the speed dial names, but not the internal/icm/intercom/extension names. Any help would be so appreciated!

Changing station names is something your vendor will have to do for you for most Iwatsu/ICON systems. There isn't too much an end-user can program or change.
